Lizzy Jackson was a recurring character on the first season of Heathers. She is a new student at Westerburg High, who was raised in the foster care system and is eager to learn the ways of Heather Chandler.

She is portrayed by Birgundi Baker.

Biography[]

After moving to Westerburg, Lizzy is quickly taken under Heather Chandler's wing. Lizzy tried to help Heather Chandler sabotage Heather Duke's school play audition, but Lizzy's naivety caused her to accidentally upstage Heather Chandler. Consequently, Mr. Dennis offered Lizzy the lead roll in the musical. (Date Rapes and AIDS Jokes)

Lizzy helped out selling merchandise as part of Heather Chandler's 'i am Suicide' campaign. Following Brianna Parker's failed suicide attempt, Lizzy stood up for Brianna when Heather Chandler bullied Brianna for "murdering" her campaign. Lizzy claimed that she was just calling out injustice as she saw it, something that Heather Chandler taught her. As a result of this, Lizzy was thrown out of the Heathers. Lizzy's opposition to Heather, in addition to Lizzy playing the lead in the school musical, kickstarted Heather Chandler's attempts to have Lizzy removed from Westerburg. One such attempt saw Heather Duke writing a fake suicide note framing Ram Sweeney's death as a suicide because he couldn't be with Lizzy. Heather Duke thought that this would ruin Lizzy's reputation, however, it actually increased Lizzy's social status. (Our Love is God)

After failing to get Lizzy expelled from Westerburg, Heather Chandler enlisted the help of JD. He gave Lizzy a bouquet of flowers as a congratulations gift for her successful musical audition, however, hidden inside the bouquet was a gun. When she entered the school, security found the gun and took her away from the premises. This resulted in her expulsion from Westerburg. (Reindeer Games)
