Jade Duke is a recurring character in Heathers. She is the menthol smoking, gold digging stepmother of Heather Duke who is simply going through the motions until her eighty-two year old husband passes and she can claim the inheritance.
She is portrayed by Selma Blair.
Biography[]
When no one turned up to Heather Duke's funeral party in honour of Heather Chandler, Jade took the opportunity to mock her failure. Before leaving Heather to the failed party she attempted to impart some of her wisdom; encouraging Heather to "fuck it all and get that money". (She's Going to Cry)
One night while at work, JD turned up to ask Jade to help him acquire a gun. Despite recognising him as one of Heather Duke's schoolmates, she provided him with the details of a contact she knew who could help him. (Reindeer Games)
After Heather Chandler reversed over Heather Duke with her car, Jade was called into the school to discuss the appropriate consequences with Ms. Fleming and Mrs. Chandler. (Hot Probs)
