Melanie Field is an American actress best known for her work on Broadway.
She starred as the vicious Heather Chandler in season one of Heathers.
Personal life and career[]
She graduated from Mount St. Joseph Academy in 2006 in Montgomery County, PA. She is also a graduate of New York University and Yale School of Drama, Field started her career working on Broadway in shows including The Phantom of the Opera and Evita, as well as the First National Tour of Wicked.
Her other TV credits include the USA Network’s pilot The Tap, from Executive Producer Rob Reiner. Field currently splits her time between Los Angeles for production and New York.
Field first starred as Heather Chandler in Paramount Network's Heathers (2018). She also had a notable recurring role in Hulu's Shrill (2019) as Vic.
She currently stars as Kaitlin in Pop TV's Florida Girls (2019).
Field can soon be seen portraying Sunrise in Netflix's series You (2019). She will also be playing Bitsy Sussman, an industrious young protege at the Sara Howard Detective Agency who looks to Sara for professional guidance but who brings her own warmth and New York street smarts to the job, in The Angel of Darkness (2020).
